Product description
For sale:
Impressive vintage German freestanding modular wall system from the 1950s, manufactured by Koch Möbel. This generous piece of furniture combines warm teak wood with a slender metal suspension system and refined brass adjustable feet. The combination of wood, metal, and glass gives the whole an airy, architectural look characteristic of modernist furniture design from this period.
The system consists of three sections and offers a particularly extensive combination of open display and closed storage space. The configuration includes two cabinet elements with hinged doors, one element with four drawers and a door, one shallower cabinet element with hinged doors, one display cabinet with glass sliding doors, and no less than six loose shelves.
Thanks to the modular suspension system, the various cabinets and shelves can be arranged as desired. This allows the furniture to be adapted to the space and its intended use. It is excellently suited as a bookcase, china cabinet, display cabinet, or a spacious living room set for art, ceramics, and other collections.
Despite its generous width of approximately 240 cm, the furniture appears elegant and spacious. The slender black uprights and brass adjustable feet visually lift the various elements off the floor, while the warm color and beautiful grain of the teak create a timeless ensemble.
The wall system is in neat vintage condition with light, age-appropriate signs of wear. A particularly complete and versatile piece of furniture for lovers of German mid-century design.
Asking price: 2295 euros. Delivery possible. Feel free to inquire about the possibilities.
