Spectacular carved and gilded wooden mirror, made during the first quarter of the 20th century following the Louis XVI style. The silver mirror is framed in a rectangular main body. At the top, an exuberant crest develops, slender and light, which has a large rockery in its central area. This central rockery is joined by delicate scrolls with the plant elements that extend along the sides of the mirror.
For some authors, Louis XVI is a style with a markedly “feminine” tendency, and it should even have been named after “Marie Antoinette.” It contrasts with the Louis It is characterized by lightness, harmony and proportion, leaving aside the heaviness and excess of the styles it follows.
