Product description
A charming small oval box, from Trésors d'Art du Caramy, in the South of France. Its vintage label is still preserved on the reverse, directly linking this piece to its origin. It belongs to those refined small accessories that one used to slip into a handbag or place on a dressing table. A pillbox, a small jewelry box, or a case for a few precious trinkets, it is a testament to an era when even the most modest accessories were conceived as genuine decorative objects. Its lid is particularly captivating. Beneath its domed surface, a millefiori glass composition appears, made from a multitude of small colored sections assembled into floral patterns. The orange, red, white, and brown tones form a genuine small mosaic, highlighted by the gilded metal frame. The reverse, crafted with a radiating pattern, still bears its old label "Trésors d'Art du Caramy – France." The Caramy is a Provençal river in the Var department, notably crossing the territory of Provence Verte.
