Product description
In the 1960s, tables began to be built to grow with the user – without bulky extensions, but with elegant mechanisms integrated into the design. This dining table achieves this with a curved frame of solid walnut and slender, tapered legs that give the impression of floating. The tabletop extends, providing ample space for more than just everyday use.
This particular piece dates from the 1960s; the manufacturer and design are unknown, yet the style is unmistakable: Scandinavian-influenced craftsmanship with a keen sense of proportion. The walnut bears the patina of six decades, minor signs of wear are visible, and the mechanism functions perfectly. A table that has been working since it was made.
