Product description
This vintage table lamp from the mid-century era is a product of VEB Wohnraumleuchten, a company from the former GDR. The design features a striking, ribbed porcelain base in white, complemented by a conical shade made of textured fabric in a warm beige tone.
The lamp's base is made of glazed porcelain. It uses a standard E27 socket and has a fabric-covered cable. The combination of the smooth ceramic and the shade's textured surface gives the lamp a balanced look and feel.
The lamp is in very good vintage condition. The porcelain surface is intact, and the shade has an authentic patina commensurate with its age. The material on the inside is slightly cracked—see photos—but the shade retains its shape.
This piece will fit seamlessly into Scandinavian or retro-inspired interiors. It is ideal as an atmospheric light source on a sideboard, bedside table or desk and brings a piece of East German design history into the modern living space.
