Bring a warm, atmospheric glow to your interior with this iconic vintage glass ceiling light!
This model, also known in collector circles as the "Tellerlamp" or "Sun" fixture, is a beautiful example of Eastern European design from the mid-20th century (1960s/70s). This specific piece is equipped with a fixed, white lacquered metal rod and the original white plastic ceiling rose (baldachin). Mounted this way, the lamp sits flush and tight against the ceiling, creating a minimalist, architectural look.
The generous, dish-shaped shade is made of heavy, high-quality structured glass. Thanks to its fine relief and golden-yellow/amber tint, the lamp creates an incredibly warm light pattern that immediately evokes atmospheric sunbeams.
Unique to this model is its interior with 3 E27 sockets. Where many lamps of this type have only one light point, this three-armed distributor ensures a perfectly even and powerful light output through the entire glass bowl.
This type of design is strongly related to the progressive designs that set the tone at the Brussels World Exhibition (Expo 58) at the time and was produced in the former Eastern Bloc (such as VEB Wohnraumleuchten in the DDR and Napako in Czechoslovakia). An absolute eye-catcher for the hall, living room or bedroom!
