Product description
This two-seater sofa was probably manufactured in Germany during the 1970s. This piece is inspired by the minimalist aesthetic of the Bauhaus school with a 1970s modernist twist. It is upholstered in brown synthetic leather with a visible patina, accentuating its authentic character. The seat is wide and comfortable, with delicate tufting running down the center of the backrest. The frame is made of chrome-plated steel with an elegant, curved shape, lending a light, industrial feel and creating a sense of suspension. The form of this sofa embodies the essence of modernist functionality – clean, clear lines without unnecessary ornamentation. Both the seat and backrest feature a fluid, flowing line – gently rounded edges flowing into a sinuous profile that naturally adapts to the body. This form is both comfort-oriented and conscious – inspired by ergonomics and the spirit of the industrial Bauhaus aesthetic. The modularity suggested by the clear division into two identical sections creates a sense of rhythm and symmetry, emphasizing the structural logic. The entire piece is an example of well-thought-out design that combines simplicity with refined detail.
The sofa is in original vintage condition. It shows minor signs of age-related wear and tear, including glue marks. There are some tarnishing on the chrome parts. Four buttons are missing from the quilting. The seat height is 38 cm.
The colors of the products shown in the photos may differ slightly from the actual ones. This is due to individual monitor settings and lighting conditions – the photos were taken in artificial light, which may affect the perception of colors. However, we strive to ensure that the photos reflect the actual appearance of the product as faithfully as possible. The offer may include photos of item in the living space, but these are for illustrative purposes only.
