Rare Vintage Mechanical Butter Dish « Coquillor » – Triangular Shape – 50s/60s
Description:
Enhance your table settings with this rare and highly desirable collector's item.
This is an authentic mechanical butter dish from the famous French brand Coquillor. Unlike the vast majority of round models found on the market, this example stands out with its modernist triangular shape with softened angles, a highly sought-after and rare geometric edition.
• The concept:
This ingenious table silverware item allows you to create magnificent swirls and rosettes of butter. Simply press the removable perforated insert onto the softened block of butter to see it rise in delicate curls ready to be served. The lower compartment can hold crushed ice to keep the butter at the perfect temperature during the meal.
• Condition & Materials:
• Material: High-quality stainless steel (glossy mirror finish).
• Condition: Very good vintage condition, ideal for immediate use or to complete a collection. The mechanisms and the perforated grid are impeccable. Please note the presence of micro-scratches on the tray.
• Authenticity: Genuine Coquillor model (without original box).
Perfect for retro design enthusiasts, collectors of 20th-century culinary objects, or to add a touch of French gastronomic elegance to your dinners.
Dimensions (approximate): 16cm length and width. Height approximately 3.5 cm
• Shape: Triangular
• Style: Mid-Century Modern / French Design
