A unique vintage piece from the heyday of Czech pressed glass! This heavy, clear glass is a beautiful example of Brutalist/Modernist design from the Sklo Union period.
The characteristic relief consists of vertically stacked, concave oval lenses hollowed out inwards – an optical masterpiece that magically refracts light and creates a fascinating depth effect.
The thick walls and conical shape give the vase a monumental, sculptural character. Strong resemblance to the famous "Lens" series (pattern no. 3236 and others) from the Sklo Union factories (such as Libochovice or Rudolfova Hut), often associated with top designer František Vízner or in his style. Perfect for lovers of mid-century modern, Brutalism, or optical glass.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition – no chips or cracks, only two small scratches and limescale on the inside of the vase.
