About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This object is a unique table lamp, crafted from an authentic vintage rotary telephone. The design playfully combines the nostalgia of a classic communication device with the functionality of modern lighting, resulting in a striking and decorative piece. The base of the lamp is the original light blue plastic telephone casing. The telephone receiver has been ingeniously transformed into a lamp holder, with the receiver connected to the base via a flexible metal gooseneck. This allows the light source to be directed. The cream-colored details around the black rotary dial enhance the overall retro look. The lamp is equipped with an in-line switch for easy operation. This 'telephone lamp' is in excellent condition and is a creative example of upcycling. The piece retains the character of the original object while gaining a completely new function. The visible filament bulb contributes to the warm, atmospheric lighting that the fixture emits. As a distinctive accent piece, this lamp is ideal for a desk, sideboard, or bedside table. It fits seamlessly into an interior with vintage, retro, or eclectic influences and functions as both a light source and a conversation starter.
