Product description
This vintage Ferdin shoulder bag and clutch presents a striking example of Italian leather craftsmanship. The design features a distinctive geometric motif, combining smooth cream leather with textured brown snakeskin-effect panels that sweep diagonally across the front flap.
Constructed in Italy, the bag offers versatile styling with a slender, adjustable shoulder strap that allows it to be worn on the shoulder or carried as a clutch. The interior is lined in matching cream leather and includes a zippered pocket, complete with the original 'Made in Italy Ferdin' woven label. The piece is finished with subtle gold-tone hardware on the strap buckle and magnetic closure.
This piece remains in great vintage condition, retaining its structural integrity and the supple quality of the leather. The interior is clean and well-preserved, reflecting careful previous ownership.
Ideal for both daytime elegance and evening occasions, this bag complements tailored separates or fluid dresses. Its neutral palette and textural contrast make it a versatile addition to a curated vintage accessories collection.
Background note : This Vintage Shoulder Bag / Clutch Made in Italy (signed Ferdin) High Quality Cream/Beige Soft Leather with embossed snakeskin leather was bought in the mid Seventies in the expensive boutique Louise Fontaine, Avenue Louise, Brussels. It is also lined inside in soft calf leather.
It measures approx. 30 x 20 x 3 cm. (empty) and weighs approx. 422 grams.
