Product description
Exceptional two-seater vintage cinema bench or theater seating with vibrant red velvet upholstery and classic folding mechanism. A characterful original piece with clear patina, perfectly suited as a statement furniture for a loft, living room, home cinema, studio, retail space, or gastronomy.
Each of the two seats features a high padded backrest, wide armrests, and a mechanical metal substructure. Particularly appealing is the visible technical construction under the seat surfaces with metal frame and suspension – a typical detail of historical cinema and theater seating.
The original seats were mounted on an elongated wooden base plate. This allows the bench to be used freestanding and does not need to be screwed directly into the floor like classic cinema seating.
The intense red velvet gives the furniture a strong stage and theatrical effect.
Condition:
Clearly used vintage condition with visible patina and need for repair. The red upholstery is still color-intensive and decorative overall, but shows various signs of age and wear.
Small damages or holes in the fabric are visible on the backrests. In individual areas of the armrests and seat undersides, the upholstery is loose, torn, or has been re-attached. One outer armrest has a black upholstered area. Below the seat surfaces, older fixings with black tape and age-related signs of wear on the mechanism, suspension, and metal parts are visible.
