About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A vintage ceramic soup tureen, complete with a matching underplate, which is a paragon of classic elegance. This piece stands out for its richly decorated, sculptural form and refined details, reminiscent of the opulent Baroque or Rococo styles.
The set is crafted from glazed ceramic in a cream-white base color. Both the tureen and the plate are decorated with hand-painted pink floral motifs and finished with golden accents that emphasize the wavy contours and graceful handles. The lid is crowned by a bouquet of three-dimensional, hand-formed ceramic roses in shades of pink and yellow, serving as a unique handle.
The overall condition of the set is good and consistent with its age, retaining its decorative charm and character. The glaze has a subtle sheen that accentuates the colors and details of the craftsmanship. The piece presents itself as an authentic vintage object.
This soup tureen is not only functional for an elegantly set table but also serves as a striking decorative object. It is a beautiful addition to a sideboard, a display cabinet, or as a central showpiece in an interior with a classic, eclectic, or romantic decor.
