Product description
Charming vintage ceramic donkey figurine from the 1960s. Marked "Made in Japan" on the underside, it is a fine example of the decorative ceramic figures produced in Japan for export during this period. The little donkey has a particularly endearing, slightly playful design with large, upright ears, a long black mane, and a sculpted tail. The coloring is in warm cream, brown, and black tones. Reddish-brown hooves and the contrasting inner ears add further accents. The glossy glaze emphasizes the figurine's typical vintage character. With its somewhat naive and humorous style, the donkey possesses a delightful 1950s/60s kitsch charm and is ideally suited as a small collector's item or decorative object. Condition: Age-appropriate vintage condition with noticeable signs of wear. There are some discolorations, stains, and abrasions to the glaze. Minor wear is also visible on the ears and hooves. Overall, the figure is decorative and possesses a lovely, authentic vintage character. Dimensions: L6 x H11.5
