Product description
Characterful vintage ceramic teapot with a distinct mid-century look. The compact, round shape, angular handle, and striking spout are combined with a deep ultramarine to cobalt blue high-gloss glaze. Particularly noteworthy is the wide decorative band around the pot, made up of countless small circular structures in various shades of blue. The relief and variations in the glaze give the surface that typical fat lava look and provide a lot of depth and texture. The stepped neck and the substantial lid with a knob also make the design strongly recognizable as vintage ceramic. A beautiful retro object that can be used both as a teapot and as decorative ceramic. The teapot is in excellent condition, consistent with its age and use. At most, some light limescale is present on the inside and on the rim. The light streak in the glaze edge at the top is part of the glaze and is not a crack or damage. Capacity approximately 1.2 liters. Height including lid 17.5 cm, diameter approximately 16 cm, and width from spout to handle approximately 24 cm.
