A stunning set of 6 dining chairs from the 1960s, designed by Johannes Andersen for Uldum. The set has been fully restored and is in good condition. All chairs bear a stamp. This variant in rosewood, and as a complete set of 6 chairs, is very rare. The legs are crafted from solid rosewood.
During the restoration (in 2023), the original fabric in woven navy blue was discovered beneath the top layer of upholstery. Therefore, it was decided to base the new upholstery on this, ensuring the chairs are virtually in their original condition as they left the factory in the 60s.
This set of six dining chairs represents the essence of Danish design from the mid-twentieth century. The design is characterized by the organically shaped wooden backrest that seamlessly transitions into the frame, creating an elegant and timeless appearance. During restoration in 2023, the following was done:
- frames repaired, cleaned, and sanded
- wood treated
- new cold foam upholstery
- new upholstery in woven navy blue furniture fabric
This is mid-century Danish design in top condition!
