Product description
Impressive vintage Italian ceiling lamp by Cris, dating from the 1970s. This large statement piece features a gold-toned brass frame combined with numerous heavy clear glass/crystal rods, arranged in multiple cascading tiers. The layered construction creates a rich and sparkling light effect, while the warm metalwork gives the chandelier the luxurious character associated with high-end Italian lighting from this period. With a diameter of approximately 60 cm and a height of approximately 70 cm, the lamp has a strong presence without appearing overly heavy. Its design fits beautifully in both contemporary minimalist interiors and more glamorous Hollywood Regency or Mid-Century settings. The original Cris manufacturer’s label is still present on the fixture. Cris produced decorative Italian lighting in a style closely associated with the luxurious North Italian lighting tradition of the 1970s, comparable in atmosphere to designs by Venini and Novaresi. The lamp is in very good vintage condition, is complete and fully functional.
