Product description
This is a vintage Italian decanter, crafted from the distinctive Empoli glass. The object immediately stands out due to its playful and stylized design of a sitting cat.
The decanter was made in the famous glass region of Empoli in Tuscany, Italy, known for its colorful and imaginative glassware, especially popular in the mid-20th century. This piece is executed in a deep, vibrant cobalt blue color, a signature of Empoli glass. With a height of 37 cm and a weight of 1120 grams, it has a slender and elegant silhouette. The surface of the glass features a subtle texture that suggests the cat's fur, and the head functions as a perfectly fitting stopper. The stopper is equipped with a plastic seal to preserve the contents.
The object is in very good vintage condition, consistent with its age and careful use. The glass is clear and free from significant flaws, allowing the intense color to fully shine. The original stopper is present and seals very well.
This decanter is a charming and decorative piece that adds character to any interior. It can serve as a unique liqueur decanter on a bar cabinet, a special vase for a single flower, or simply as a standalone art object in a display cabinet or on a dresser. It fits excellently into a vintage, eclectic, or Mid-Century Modern interior.
