About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A vintage wire steel chair with a gold-colored brass/chrome finish and a cantilever frame, very characteristic of Italian Mid-Century design from the 70s. It has the recognizable style of designers such as Gastone Rinaldi (for RIMA).
The chair is a remarkable example of the Space Age aesthetic, characterized by its flowing lines and innovative use of materials to create a visually light, floating form. The chair is minimalist, geometric, yet comfortable.
This piece features a rarer gold/brass-colored finish. While many chairs of this type were executed in chrome, this Hollywood Regency variant is a beautiful and warm statement piece.
Important original features:
• Integrated floor glides
• Recessed Allen key construction
• Heavy quality
This piece has the lived-in patina, weld points, and construction of a true vintage furniture piece from the last century. This means the chair does have signs of use and oxidation spots. But otherwise, the chair is in good condition, structurally completely straight, stable, and the weld seams are undamaged.
Comes without cushions, but is perfect for a nice sheepskin or a custom-made cushion. Used
