IKEA POÄNG armchair with matching footstool, designed by Noboru Nakamura. This classic set features a frame of curved birch veneer and is upholstered in black leather. Flexible and resilient frame of layered, curved wood that offers comfortable support. Durable black leather. High backrest for good neck support, combined with an ergonomically inclined footstool.
This iconic POÄNG armchair with matching footstool was designed by Noboru Nakamura for IKEA in the 1990s. The design combines a timeless aesthetic with an ergonomic shape, making it a beloved classic in design history.
The set is crafted from curved birch wood, which ensures the characteristic resilience and light silhouette of the frame. The upholstery consists of supple black leather, which forms a refined contrast with the light wood tone. The original IKEA marking is present on the frame, confirming the authenticity of this vintage version.
The set is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. The leather has developed a natural patina that contributes to the character of the set, while the structural integrity has been fully preserved. This armchair and footstool fit perfectly into a Scandinavian or modern interior. The set offers a comfortable reading or resting spot in a living room, study, or bedroom.
This is a vintage item. This means it has been used. Items are not new or perfect, but they are very beautiful! Most vintage items show signs of wear. The extent to which these signs of wear are present is stated in the description. Photos are part of this description. Please examine them carefully. Vintage (read: used) items sometimes show color variations, uneven wear, and/or normal wear. Please take this into account when making a purchase.
This set must be picked up – shipping is available at an additional cost in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Germany.
