Product description
Special set of two vintage IKEA Giraffe sculptures, designed by the Swedish designer Louise Hederström. The black wooden figures are made in two different sizes and together form a strong and recognizable duo.
The design is characterized by its elongated, organic shape. From the wide three-legged base, each figure smoothly extends into a slender neck with a highly stylized head. The almost completely abstracted giraffe shape gives the sculptures a typical Scandinavian, minimalist, and sculptural appearance.
Both pieces still feature the original logos with the designer's signature and the text 'Design Louise Hederström'. A nice detail that is certainly worth mentioning for these now vintage IKEA design objects.
The condition is good. There are some signs of wear and scratches. These have been carefully retouched and are therefore barely noticeable. The detailed photos accurately show the condition.
Only for sale as a complete set.
Large piece: approximately 41 cm high, base 9 × 9.5 cm.
Small piece: approximately 26 cm high, base 7 × 8.5 cm.
