Product description
Beautiful vintage IKEA cabinet from the 1960s, designed by Marian Grabinski. This special vintage compartment cabinet is part of IKEA's iconic MTP series, designed in 1961 and included in the 1962 IKEA catalog.
The MTP series was designed by Marian Grabinski as a wedding gift for Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of IKEA. The unique design also has a place in the IKEA Museum in Älmhult. A characterful vintage IKEA cabinet with a rich design history, ideal for lovers of retro furniture and Scandinavian vintage design.
Layout and features
This vintage IKEA Wall cabinet has multiple shelves that are easily adjustable in height. The two top compartments are equipped with glass sliding doors, one of which also contains an extra glass shelf. The combination of open compartments and glass doors makes the cabinet both practical and decorative.
Originally, the cabinet stood on legs. A previous owner replaced these with a plinth, which gives the cabinet its current appearance.
Condition
The cabinet is in good vintage condition. There are light signs of wear consistent with its age. The drawers are sometimes a bit stiff. View the photos for a good impression of the condition and details of this special vintage IKEA cabinet.
