Product description
Vintage desk lamp by HEMA, a classic example of functional Dutch design from the period 1980-1990. The design is characterized by its simplicity and flexibility, making it a timeless addition to any workspace or reading nook. The model, known as 'Flexo Basic White', combines a clear aesthetic with practical usability.
The lamp is made with a white lacquered metal shade, which has subtle perforations at the top for an atmospheric light effect. The shade is mounted on a flexible 'gooseneck' of chrome-plated metal, which allows the light to be precisely directed. The stable, dome-shaped base is made of silver-colored metal, offering a modern contrast to the white shade. The lamp has an E14 fitting and is suitable for a light source up to 40 watts (included).
Overall, this desk lamp is in very good vintage condition, consistent with its age and careful use. The construction is solid and the electrical components, including the original switch, are fully functional. The finish has withstood the test of time very well and retains its original appearance.
Thanks to its minimalist and versatile design, this lamp effortlessly fits into various interior styles, from retro and industrial to modern and Scandinavian. It is an ideal light source for a desk in a home office, as a reading lamp on a bedside table, or as accent lighting on a side table.
