Gufram Magritta Armchair A sculpture-armchair that pays homage to surrealism. The green apple and the black bowler hat are recurring figurative elements in the works of Renè Magritte, assembled by the visionary imagination of Sebastián Matta into a new seat, made of polyurethane foam and upholstered in fabric. The ABS hat serves as the frame, while the apple, made of soft polyurethane foam and covered in elastic fabric, becomes a comfortable and soft seat. The name MagriTTA, written with the distinctive use of uppercase and lowercase letters, combines the surnames Matta and Magritte, thus amplifying the homage of one great artist to another. With the re-edition of MagriTTA, Gufram continues its journey of valorizing and recovering the international icons of radical design, thus placing itself at the center of the rediscovery of this essential movement for the history of industrial design.
