"London calling", from this beautiful telephone bench or in the much nicer English "Gossip bench".
In times gone by, many calls were made to the outside world from this beautiful vintage bench with cabinet.
But even though we rarely or no longer call landlines these days, this piece of furniture has survived the test of time and still stands up charmingly.
Very nice as a decoration in the home or practical to use in the hall, for example to put on your shoes.
