Product description
Vintage jug in glazed ceramic, from Central Europe. It is a piece of folk pottery from the early 20th century.
Glazed ceramic jugs were used in homes across Central Europe to store and serve water, wine or milk.
Slender in outline, it is glazed in cream, with wavy bands and flowers painted in cobalt blue. The interior shows the red clay.
The cream glaze has a smooth, glossy finish, with light signs of use.
In a rustic kitchen or on a sideboard, it serves for water or as a vase.
