This vintage G&G wall lamp, produced in the 1980s, is an iconic example of postmodern design. Often referred to as a 'bed flap' or reading lamp, the design combines a sleek, minimalist form with functional lighting. The lamp is crafted from sturdy metal and finished in a striking red color. The tiltable shade allows the user to direct the light beam as desired for direct or indirect ambient lighting. Characteristic features include the horizontal ventilation slots at the top and bottom, which not only dissipate heat but also create a playful play of light. The fixture is equipped with an E14 socket and a white cord with an on/off switch. The wall lamp is in excellent condition and retains its original finish and functionality. The design has remained relevant over the years and is still produced today under the name Lano by Expo Trading Holland (ETH). This fixture is ideal for mounting above or next to a bed, or as accent lighting in a retro or modern interior.
