Vintage stoneware bottle made in Germany by M.K.M., Max Krüger, in Moschheim in the Westerwald region. It dates from . Its simple and robust silhouette combines a cylindrical body, a gently rounded shoulder, and a short neck. The slightly speckled cream stoneware retains a granular texture characteristic of Westerwald utilitarian wares. The base is embossed with the marking 0.7 L M.K.M., which indicates its 70 cl capacity and identifies the German manufacturer Max Krüger. The bottle has retained its cork stopper as well as part of its original green sealing wax around the neck. The sealing wax shows cracks and wear due to age, tangible traces of its history. The contrast between the cream hue of the stoneware and the deep green of the neck lends the piece a perfectly balanced graphic presence. Light subtly catches the material and reveals the fine irregularities of the surface. This bottle measures approximately 25 cm in height. It is a fine example of German utilitarian ceramics from the second half of the 20th century, both understated, authentic, and immediately recognizable.
