A vintage floor lamp by the Dutch manufacturer Gepo, made of chromed and lacquered metal. This design is a characteristic example of the Space Age style, popular in the 1960s and 70s, and stands out for its functional yet playful aesthetic.
The lamp consists of a slender, chromed stand on a round, orange lacquered metal base. Two adjustable spherical shades are attached to the stand, also in a vibrant orange color. Thanks to the flexible mounting, the light sources can be directed independently, allowing the lamp to function as both general ambient lighting and a focused reading lamp.
This piece is in very good vintage condition, with a character appropriate for its age. The original wiring and foot switch are present and functional. The floor switch works but sometimes falters. The combination of the glossy chrome finish and the warm orange hue gives the lamp an authentic retro look.
This Gepo floor lamp is a striking addition to an interior with Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, or eclectic influences. The design adds a colorful and sculptural element to a living room, study, or reading nook.
