About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a classic daybed, designed by Rob Parry for the Dutch manufacturer Gelderland. The piece of furniture is a beautiful example of Dutch Design and combines functionality with a minimalist aesthetic, allowing it to serve as both a sofa and a sofa bed.
The sofa has a sleek, black metal frame that forms a nice contrast with the light grey, mottled fabric upholstery. The loose armrests can be easily moved or removed, making the design flexible. This model is a well-known work by Rob Parry, an icon in post-war Dutch furniture design history, and is known for its clever and space-saving solutions.
The overall condition is good and consistent with the age of the furniture. The original upholstery and frame have an authentic character that tells the story of the piece. This versatile daybed fits perfectly into a Mid-Century Modern or Scandinavian interior and is ideal for a living room, guest room, or studio where both style and functionality are important.
