Product description
This is a vintage sideboard by the Dutch manufacturer Fristho, crafted from richly grained rosewood. Originally part of a larger wall system, this cabinet has been repurposed as a standalone sideboard, offering a unique combination of Mid-Century design and modern utility.
The sideboard features a long, linear form with four cabinet doors, each adorned with small, distinctive brass handles. The piece measures an expansive 250 cm in width, 46 cm in depth, and stands at a height of 82 cm, now supported by modern black metal hairpin legs. Inside, the cabinet is fitted with shelving, providing ample storage. The original Fristho 'Made in Holland' label is present, confirming its Dutch design heritage.
Overall, the piece presents in good vintage condition, with a character that reflects its history. The rosewood veneer retains its deep colour and glossy finish, showcasing the dramatic grain patterns characteristic of the material. This repurposing gives the cabinet a new life as a substantial and functional piece of furniture.
With its generous proportions and striking wood grain, this sideboard serves as an excellent focal point in a dining room or living area. It pairs well with both vintage and contemporary interiors, offering significant storage capacity while making a distinct stylistic statement.
