Product description
This vintage Franco Santi wall plate is a characteristic example of Italian ceramics from the mid-twentieth century. The design features a stylized, figurative depiction of a horse, executed in an expressive style typical of the period.
The plate is crafted from ceramic and features a glossy glaze. The color scheme combines a deep brown background with accents in white, blue, and yellow, creating a striking contrast. On the reverse side, the plate is signed 'Garda sul Lago', indicating its origin in the region around Lake Garda in Italy. The object is equipped with a metal hanging hook, allowing it to be mounted directly to the wall.
The wall plate is in good condition, commensurate with its age. The colors have remained bright and the glaze has retained its shine, contributing to the piece's authentic appearance.
This decorative object comes into its own in an eclectic or vintage-inspired interior. It can serve as a striking accent on a gallery wall or as a standalone piece of art in a living room or hallway.
