ProfessionalProduct description
This vintage poster displays the text 'SCABIES Contamination suspected building' in black letters on a light green background. The poster is framed in a dark, decorated wooden frame with glass. The paper shows discoloration and stains, consistent with its age. Minor signs of wear.
An original Dutch public health warning sign from 1943, issued during World War II. The sign bears the striking text "Scabies – Contamination suspected building".
These official notices were placed on buildings where a case of scabies was confirmed or suspected, to warn the public and health authorities of a possible contagious infection. Printed by the Algemeene Landsdrukkerij in The Hague, this piece is an authentic example of Dutch public health administration during the war.
The poster shows age-related discoloration, stains, folds, and wear consistent with its age, all contributing to its authentic character.
Dimensions: 53 x 32.5 x 2 cm.
