Unique vintage side table featuring a detailed basketweave top handcrafted entirely from matchsticks (folk art / matchstick marquetry). Supported by mid-century styled tapered wooden legs.
This piece offers fantastic character for lovers of folk art, tramp art, or vintage oddities. It makes a striking plant stand or conversation piece and is a great candidate for a minor restoration (cleaning, light sanding, and sealing).
Details & Condition:
Materials: Hand-applied matchstick veneer top, engineered wood base, solid wooden legs
Condition: Authentic vintage condition. The top surface shows a beautiful aged patina. Edge wear is present on the matchstick border, and the legs show light scuffs in the original finish (detailed in photos). Structurally sound and stable.
