Vintage folding garden table in wood and iron, from Central Europe. Originates from mid-20th century terrace furniture, when this type of table furnished beer gardens and hospitality patios. Tables of this type were used on terraces and public gardens, where the scissor folding frame made off-season storage easier. The rectangular top, made of pine slats, rests on a green-painted scissor iron frame that allows the table to fold flat. The wood retains the golden tone typical of continued outdoor use, while the iron frame shows the natural patina of the original green paint. In a contemporary garden or terrace, it brings the practicality of mid-century folding furniture without losing its authentic character.
