About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an authentic spice rack by the American brand Kromex, manufactured during the Mid-Century Modern period. The set is an iconic example of kitchen design from the 1950s and 1960s, characterized by the use of spun aluminum.
The set consists of a black metal rack and eight accompanying shakers, each made of lightweight and durable spun aluminum. The screw caps are made of black plastic with clearly legible white letters indicating the spices: Cloves, Ginger, Mustard, Cinnamon, Allspice, Cayenne, Nutmeg, and Paprika. A special detail is the presence of the original aluminum sifting inserts, which are often missing from similar sets. The rack has a width of approximately 26 cm.
Overall, the set is in good condition, consistent with its age, with a characteristic patina that confirms its vintage origin. The set is complete and retains its original parts, which adds to its collector's value.
This Kromex spice rack is a functional and decorative object that fits perfectly into a retro or vintage kitchen interior. It adds an authentic 'atomic age' accent to a countertop or wall shelf.
