Dutch Wingback armchair in green Odense.
This beautiful vintage armchair is a fine example of Dutch seating furniture design from the Mid Century Modern period. The warm teak, the characteristically shaped armrests, and the beautifully lined backrest give the design a unique look, where comfort and a refined play of lines naturally come together.
The frame is made of solid teak, with a warm wood grain and a beautiful balance between robustness and refinement. The curved armrests elegantly flow into the frame, while the slender, tapered legs give the whole an airy character. The generously upholstered seat and the strikingly designed backrest create an inviting silhouette. An armchair that is not only comfortable to sit in but also immediately attracts attention as a standalone piece of furniture.
This Dutch factory armchair has been completely restored and is in excellent condition again. Both the filling and the upholstery have been completely renewed. Odense, a first-class dark green upholstery fabric, was chosen for the covering. The fabric has a beautiful, timeless bouclé effect that gives the armchair extra depth and character, without overpowering the original design.
The combination of warm teak with the deep green hue creates a stylish look that can be easily combined with various interior styles.
Beautiful in an interior with Scandinavian or Mid Century Modern influences, but just as well as a characterful armchair in a contemporary living environment. Next to a wooden coffee table or in combination with other vintage furniture, the design comes into its own perfectly.
