Product description
A particularly beautiful Easy Chair in which the Dutch design language is beautifully combined with influences from Scandinavian design. The 'Bedemsvaart' is an armchair with a distinct character, where form, material, and comfort beautifully come together.
What immediately catches the eye are the striking, elegantly curved lines of the wooden frame. The light oak wood forms a beautiful contrast with the darker teak armrests. Precisely this combination of two different types of wood gives the armchair extra depth and a particularly rich appearance. The organically shaped armrests and the carefully crafted frame show how much attention has been paid to the design.
The armchair has been completely re-upholstered with a high-quality, heavy furniture fabric in a beautiful green shade. The fabric has a subtle appearance, as is known with wool and felt, and thus perfectly matches the atmosphere and materials so characteristic of the 1950s and 60s. The combination of the warm wood and the deep green upholstery makes the 'Bedemsvaart' a particularly atmospheric piece of furniture.
The restoration was carried out with great care. The upholstery has been expertly renewed by professional furniture upholsterers, and the complete wooden frame has been inspected, with all connections checked and worked on where necessary.
The result is an armchair that is fully restored to its former glory and, thanks to the careful restoration, has an appearance that is hardly inferior to new.
A special and moreover rarely beautiful vintage piece.
