Product description
This is a vintage wall or ceiling light, designed by Alois Gangknofner for the German manufacturer ERCO in the 1960s. The piece is a characteristic example of Space Age design, known for its unique light diffusion through the textured glass.
The lamp, model 54060, consists of a metal base and a heavy shade of thick, pressed crystal glass. The iconic waffle or bubble pattern in the glass creates an atmospheric and diffuse light effect. With a diameter of 25 cm and a height of 11 cm, this is a compact yet striking light source, produced in Germany during the Mid-Century Modern era.
The lamp is in good vintage condition consistent with its age. The glass is completely intact, without cracks or chips. The metal base has developed a characteristic patina, which contributes to the authentic appearance of the object.
This versatile lamp can be mounted on both the ceiling and the wall. It feels at home in various interior styles, from modern and industrial to an eclectic vintage decor.
