About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This set is a vintage dining set from the "Japanese Series" by Pastoe, designed by Cees Braakman in the 1960s or 1970s.
This vintage dining set from the 60s or 70s consists of a dining table and four matching chairs. The design is characterized by a sleek, rectangular shape typical of the mid-century modern era, where functionality and natural materials take center stage.
The set is crafted with a dark wooden frame that forms a warm contrast with the light, white tabletop. The four dining chairs feature seats and backrests made of woven cane, creating an organic texture and a comfortable seating experience. The combination of wood, cane, and the sleek tabletop gives the set a timeless look.
The set is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. Over the years, the woodwork and wickerwork have developed an authentic character, contributing to the vintage charm of the whole.
