About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a vintage dining set designed by the celebrated Italian designer Gastone Rinaldi for the manufacturer RIMA. The ensemble is a quintessential example of 1970s Italian design, defined by its sculptural forms and sophisticated mix of materials.
The set consists of a square dining table and four matching chairs. The table features a distinctive smoked glass top, resting on a slender metal frame. Each chair is constructed from a combination of gold-tone tubular metal for the cantilever base and chrome-plated steel wire for the contoured seat and backrest, creating a striking visual contrast and an open, airy silhouette.
As a vintage collection, the set is in a good, well-preserved condition that reflects its history and use. The materials show a patina consistent with their age, which contributes to the authentic character of the pieces. The structural integrity of both the table and the chairs remains solid, ready for continued use.
This dining ensemble is an excellent statement piece for an interior that embraces Hollywood Regency, Italian Design, or Space Age aesthetics. Its compact footprint and transparent qualities make it suitable for both dedicated dining rooms and open-plan living spaces, adding a touch of vintage glamour.
