Product description
A vintage pendant lamp by the Dutch manufacturer Dijkstra, a characteristic design from the Space Age era.
1970s, seventies. Dutch design.
The lamp has a spherical shade, made of translucent, smoke-brown plastic. This shade is accentuated by a central band of brushed metal and a matching metal element at the top.
The design creates both directed light downwards and a diffuse, warm light through the translucent shade.
The overall condition of the lamp is good, with some scratches here and there consistent with age and use.
The combination of the dark plastic and cool metal gives the lamp a timeless appeal. The original wiring and ceiling rose are present.
This Dijkstra pendant lamp is an atmospheric addition above a dining table, in a seating area, or as a striking object in a hallway.
The design fits seamlessly into an interior with Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, or eclectic influences and adds an authentic piece of Dutch design history to the space.
