Beautiful vintage pendant lamp by Dijkstra Lampen, dating from the 1970s. This characteristic Dutch design is part of Dijkstra’s distinctive Flower series and is now approximately 50 years old. The lamp features a striking layered design with a metal shade and a brown/orange acrylic flower-shaped outer shade. Its combination of warm colours, layered geometry and chrome details gives the lamp a typical 1970s Space Age / Mid-Century Modern look. The inside of the metal shade is finished in orange, creating a beautiful warm and dramatic orange glow when illuminated. A true statement piece that adds plenty of atmosphere to a dining room, living room or vintage interior. Thanks to the original rise-and-fall mechanism, the pendant can easily be adjusted in height, making it especially suitable above a dining table. The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition with only minor signs of age and small scratches, consistent with its 50+ years of history. Overall, a wonderful example of vintage Dutch lighting and a real eyecatcher!
