This is a vintage Floor lights, designed by Willem van Doorn for the Dutch manufacturer Culemborg. The design is a representative example of the Dutch Mid-Century style, characterized by minimalist design and functional elegance.
The construction consists of a slender, black metal stand on a weighted round base for stability. The cream-colored, dome-shaped shade is made of metal and is accented by contrasting brass hinges. Thanks to the adjustable arm, the light height and direction can be easily adjusted, making the lamp very suitable as a reading lamp.
The lamp is in good vintage condition, with a character that testifies to its history. The original finish has been preserved and the mechanical parts, such as the hinges, are fully functional. The whole presents itself as an authentic piece from its period.
