A beautiful, iconic mid-century modern "Deauville" armchair. This design classic was designed in the 1960s by Marc and Pierre Simon for the renowned French furniture manufacturer Airborne (this model was used, among other things, on the famous cruise ship SS France!). The chair stands out for its organic, flowing curves and characteristic integrated armrests. The combination of the sleek, chrome-plated tubular metal frame and the deep black skai leather (faux leather) upholstery gives the chair a fantastic vintage and space-age look. Specifications: Designer: Marc & Pierre Simon Manufacturer: Airborne (France) Model: Deauville Period: 1960s Material: Black faux leather / skai and chrome Dimensions: Total height approx. 76 cm, Width approx. 60 cm, Seat height approx. 45 cm. Condition: The chair is in a neat and solid vintage condition with light signs of wear appropriate for its age (see photos for a good impression). The foam is still firm and the chair is still very comfortable.
