This is an authentic piece of studio pottery by the Danish artist Ingrid Bovin. The work, executed as a wall plate, is a beautiful example of the Scandinavian ceramic tradition from the mid-20th century. The piece is characterized by a hand-painted, stylized tree motif. The plate is made of ceramic and finished with a glossy glaze. The central decor shows a tree with pears in earthy tones of ocher yellow, dark brown, and subtle green accents. The wide rim is finished with a dark, dripping glaze that forms a nice contrast with the lighter center. On the back, the piece is signed by the artist, confirming its authenticity. Ingrid Bovin is a respected Danish craftswoman and daughter of the well-known Danish painter Karl Bovin. Her studio was located in Farevelje Seeland. This region is historically known for its thriving artist colony. The overall condition of this vintage object is excellent, consistent with its age.
