Product description
This is a vintage three-seater sofa by the Dutch manufacturer De Ster Gelderland, a characteristic piece of furniture from the 1950s or 60s. The design is a beautiful example of the Mid-Century Modern style, characterized by the organic, sculptural lines of the wooden frame.
The frame is made of warm-toned wood, giving the sofa a rich and inviting appearance. The construction shows the characteristic flowing armrests and tapered legs typical of Dutch Design from this period. The seat and backrest are supported by elastic webbing, ensuring comfort. The sofa is upholstered in an ocher-yellow, ribbed fabric that forms a lively contrast with the dark wood.
The sofa is in good vintage condition, consistent with its age and use.
The wooden frame has developed an authentic patina that contributes to the character of the furniture. The upholstery was renewed a few years ago, as was the seat.
With its elegant silhouette and compact size, this sofa is an excellent choice for various interiors, from a classic Mid-Century Modern to a more eclectic or contemporary decor. The piece of furniture functions both as a comfortable seating area and as a decorative design object.
It is an old sofa, both the upholstery and the frame show signs of wear. Overall, the sofa is in good condition.
