Product description
Large vintage advertising jar produced for De Coster Torino, the historic Turin confectionery company founded in 1880.
The piece was most likely used as a shop-counter container for candies or confectionery. It features a sculptural clear glass body, a large brass-tone metal lid and its original paper label reading “1880 de coster TORINO”.
The date 1880 refers to the foundation of the company. Based on its construction and graphic identity, the jar is most likely from the 1960s or early 1970s.
The original label shows significant age-related wear, while the metal lid has developed a natural vintage patina. These traces have been left untouched and form part of the object’s character.
