Private sellerProduct description
An ashtray with an organic, irregular shape, crafted from brass and featuring an inlay of silver-colored metal. It has three indentations for cigarettes. Light signs of use are visible, including tarnishing and scratches on the metal. The piece is from 1971.
A beautiful and distinctive vintage ashtray by David Marshall, dating back to the 1980s and featuring his characteristic combination of contrasting metals and organic, sculptural forms.
This striking piece showcases an elegant interplay between warm golden brass and aluminium, creating a beautiful contrast of textures, colours and finishes.
Its flowing, irregular silhouette and polished surfaces reflect David Marshall's unique artistic style, transforming an everyday functional object into a small sculptural work of art.
The ashtray features the artist's stamped maker's mark, visible on the edge, adding to its collectible appeal.
Perfect as a functional ashtray or as a decorative statement piece on a coffee table, desk or sideboard. A wonderful addition to any vintage, modernist or eclectic interior.
