Buffet display modernist designed by Frantisek Jirak, an emblematic figure of Czechoslovak design from the 1950s-60s. This piece embodies the modernism of Eastern Europe, highly sought after today in contemporary interiors.
Manufactured in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s, this buffet features a superb airy line with its splayed legs, sculpted handles, and beautiful warm honey hue. The upper glass section adds lightness and allows for the display of tableware, glassware, or decorative objects, while the lower storage offers ample capacity.
The piece has 5 side drawers with moulded plastic interiors, ideal for heavy loads and easy cleaning, a display space with sliding glass shelves, and a closed compartment providing a generous storage area typical of Czech modernist furniture from this period. There is a lit mini bar on the right.
The key for the lower section and mini bar is present, and the locks are functional.
An authentic piece with timeless charm, ideal for a living room or dining room, vintage or mid-century.
